MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Equipment Training Facilities, as the Coach Assistant Facilities you will assist with the implementation of the training plan by presenting / facilitating training, conducting on-the-job coaching, assessing performance against standards and maintaining accurate records.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
- Conduct training needs analyses in consultation with stakeholders; analyze results and present findings and suggestions to your supervisor.
- Continually evaluate the quality of training to ensure that it is line with strategic goals
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate reports, as required by policy and legislation
- Assess employees to required levels of multi-skilled competence
- Conduct planned job observations on individuals to ensure that learners meet all practical requirements
- Ensure that licenses are renewed on an annual basis by re-testing operators and issuing relevant licenses
- Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices
- Performs fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 (with Maths and Science)
- Minimum NQF Level 4 Engineering Qualification in Mobile Equipment (advantageous)
- Registered Assessor
- EDTP (NQF Level 4) qualification
- Certification as a Moderator would be advantageous
- 3 years relevant experience in mobile equipment in a heavy industry environment
- Driver’s License: EC
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point)
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of the Skills Development Act and related legislation
- Good communication skills (report writing, presentation and facilitation)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
