Chief Accountant – Bollore Africa Logistics Limited – Blantyre
Bollore Africa Logistics Limited (formerly known as SDV Malawi Limited) a subsidiary of a multinational corporation Bollore of France and a leading Freight Forwarding and logistics Company in the country, seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the above position which is tenable at our head office in Blantyre
Must have an ACCA/CIMA and a Bachelors Degree in either Commerce/Accountancy or its equivalent with a minimum of 7 yrs experience at senior level with a proven track record in a similar role in a large and busy organization preferably with an international investor, He/she must be a mature person with people management skills, accounting systems knowledge and experience, good computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Office and Power Point
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will among other things be responsible for Financial and management reporting – monthly and annually, Managing the monthly processing and reconciliation of general ledgers, Managing suppers and customers ledgers, Managing fixed asset register, Compiling tax and other statutory returns, Managing stocks, Preparation of budgets and cash flows, Managing cash and bank activities, Devising and implementing company accounting policies and controls
