LOCAL AREA REPRESENTATIVE (LAR)
The successful candidates will be expected to:
Support the company strategy by achieving company goals; adopting the Sales & Distribution strategies through proper usage of sales monitoring tools; defending and growing market share and protecting our brands, while assuring compliance with best practices.
Drive sales volume growth, (for Maheu, Chibuku Super & Clear Beer), through the coordination and implementation of sales activities within the retail environment of a defined sales area
The aspiring applicants must be willing to work in the following areas:
Chikwawa, Nchalo, Mwanza, Nkando, Mulanje, Luchenza, Muloza, Thondwe, Zomba, Nsanje, Chilinga, Migowi, Ndirande and Chilimoni Trading Centers. Those resident in these centers will have an added advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must have MSCE or GCSE “O” Levels or relevant education in business management or commercial qualifications.
Those with +2 years hands-on experience as sales promoter / merchandiser or equivalent in sales area will be considered.
Candidates with further knowledge (theoretical and practical) on sales and 3rd party management will have an added advantage.
The key functions for this position include, but not limited to:
A. Depot, Wholesaler, Retail Outlet Management, through
Ø Monitoring & recording movement of stock in outlets in their defined area of operation
Ø Identifying stock deviations and report to senior sales rep
Ø Optimizing product availability and ensure that sales are made observing the FIFO principle
Ø Merchandising - Check labeling, stacking and general cleanliness of the merchandise in all outlets.
Ø Identifying shop / stockist / Depot needs (training, branding material) Ensure that all POS execution procedures and tools are in place in all outlets
Ø Checking portfolio availability and introduction of new brands of CPL portfolio to achieve sales and market share targets
Ø Verifying price compliance
B. Market Execution, through:
Ø Ensuring that the cooler usage agreement is being observed
Ø Ability to influence clients pre-orders
Ø Checking stock and deviations
Ø Marketing intelligence
Ø Enlarging CPL opportunities by identifying inactive or lost clients
Ø Identifying new potential customers
Ø Running promotions as and when required
C. Monitoring Depots Wholesalers and Retail Outlets through:
Ø Confirming Orders and Sales on a daily basis
Ø Updating & generating reports as required
Ø Ability to complete the Outlet record book & update Telesales tracker
