CIC-AFRICA Co-operatives Insurance Ltd (CIC-Africa) is a Co-operative insurer in Malawi, The Company is owned by MUSCCO Ltd of Malawi and CIC Insurance Group Ltd from Kenya. CIC-AFRICA consists of 2 newly licenced subsidiaries; Co-operatives General Insurance Ltd and Co-operatives Life Assurance Ltd, In order to execute its ambitious entry and growth strategy, CIC-Africa wishes to recruit high caliber individuals to fill the following position
Claims Analysts – Life and General Insurance
To ensure fact, fair and friendly settlement of claims in accordance with the Company and Industry regulations
Register and process all reported claims and appoint relevant service providers where applicable and advise the clients on the required claims supporting documents, Receive fully documented claims and process them for payments, To promptly and efficiently attend to customer queries and complaints, Prepare monthly claims reports, Provide reinsurance recovery reports to reinsurers every quarter, Provide claims experience reports to underwriters on monthly basis or on demand, Reply to all queries raised by customers with regards to claims, To receive and acknowledge all customer correspondences, To initiate claim recoveries from third parties, To accurately post, maintain and review claims reserves on a continuous basis, Ensure all claims documents are archived in the relevant systems, To continuously recommend process and system enhancements for improved services, To communicate risk improvement measures for implementation in the underwriting dept by monitoring claims experience trends
Minimum Bachelors Degree in either Business, Economics or Social Sciences, Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) or its equivalent, At least 5 yrs work experience in a busy Claims dept, Computer literacy in relevant insurance packages and systems, Those with working knowledge of AIMS general system and Turquest Life Management system will have an added advantage, Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
