Driver and Technician
Reporting to the Operations Manger, Hardware and Networks and HR lead on technical and driving roles respectively, Driver/Technician will work in close collaboration with the all the Operations depts and the administration dept to ensure that the high quality hardware, networking and electronic systems designed and developed by Baobab health Trust are installed and maintained in liaison with other technical personnel within the agreed time-lines
Drive Technical and support staff to and from office and project sites, Airport pick ups and droppings of staff and volunteers, Conduct daily vehicle maintenance including checking oil, water, tyres, battery electrolyte levels and conduct weekly vehicle maintenance e.g. checking wheel nuts, cleaning, greasing , battery terminals, Run office errands, Maintain use of vehicle log books at all times, Assist in the installation of Electrical/data networks at project sites, Assist in the installation/servicing electronic hardware devices/components both at the office and project sites, Report to the Regional Manager about general vehicle conditions and any damage requiring workshop attention, Repro to Supervisors on all technical issues falling under the operations dept portfolio, Performing other duties as may be requested from time to time
Sober habits, Able to work at odd hours, Able to do basic electronic/hardware troubleshooting, Able to do minor vehicle maintenance, Good command of both English and Chichewa, Clean Class B diving licence with not less than 2 yrs driving experience in a busy organization, Minimum of Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Diploma in ICT
