This position is located in the Programme Budget Division of the Office of Programme
Planning Budget and Accounts (OPPBA) and the incumbent will report to the Chief of the
Policy Coordination Unit (PPBD).
Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, administration, budget, business administration or related area with greater independence and decision-making authority for complex budgets is required. Experience in programmatic issues, results-based budgeting, budgetary and statistical analysis in a commercial, public, or international organization is required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English (oral and written) is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an advantage.
