Subject: Advertisement – Voucher Examiners
The US Mission/Mozambique is seeking applications for three Voucher Examiners in the Financial Management Office.
Position Open To: All Mozambicans who meet the stated qualifications
Position Type: Foreign Service National (FSN)
Full Position Grade: FSN 7
Work Hours: Full-Time; 40 hours per week
Direct Supervisor: The incumbent will work under the very general supervision of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner
Basic Function of Position: The incumbents will examine a full range of vouchers of various level of difficulty and complexity for payment of goods and services relating to USAID project activities and administrative actions, domestic and international travel vouchers, and other miscellaneous vouchers for payments.
Required Qualifications:
Mozambican nationality. A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field is required. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in voucher examining, accounting, and related fiscal work is required. Level IV fluency in written and spoken English and fluency in Portuguese language, speaking, reading and writing. (This will be tested.) Good working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Ability to comprehend and logically and properly apply to the voucher examining process various and detailed technical program regulations. Must have tact and ability to explain clearly and convincingly the rationale for payment suspensions and voucher rejections. Proficiency in use of computers and office computer applications, especially Excel and Word.

Candidates will be evaluated based on relevant knowledge, experience and abilities demonstrated in their application materials, recommendations from references, previous employers and interviews. This is a local position and compensation will be in accordance with the Local Compensation Plan.
