Systems Development and Support Officer - AMG GLOBAL Chartered Accountants – Blantyre
The Systems Development and Support Officer, reporting to the Manager, assists in analysis, design, development, implementation and support of software solutions and reports for effective operation of business functions and projects
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills, Proven knowledge of Web Services and XML, Knowledge of interfacing with Oracle or DB2 Database, Proven systems development experience in Java, PHP or Visual Basic, Knowledge of T24 Banking System
Oversee the development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages, Assist with the analysis, development, installation and operation of information systems for the company, Assist with the maintenance and upgrading of existing systems and hardware within the company, Negotiate for provision of and to maintain and administer any web page development, electronic trading systems, electronic bidding systems, etc, Offer support on T24 Banking System and other auxiliary systems, Trouble shoot application database problems in company systems

Bachelors Degree with computing bias, Minimum of 2-3 yrs of systems development and support experience, preferably gained in a financial institution, Planning and organising skills, Problem solving, Innovative, Critical and Analytical thinking
