Assistant Finance and Administration Manager

Deloitte is one of the leading professional services firms in Malawi, invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Finance and Administration Manager tenable at our Lilongwe office 

Ensue proper internal controls and policies ar einpace regarding payents/transfers, Prepare budgets and cash flow forecasting, ensure spending is kept in line with budgets an dthat monthly reconciliations are made, an dpreapre monthly financial statements, variance analysis and commentaries in a timely manner, Advice on financial implications and consequences of business decisions and ways of improving general business performance, Monitor and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed, Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls, Facilitate coordination of all depts on financial matters, Manage all aspects of general office administration, Supervise and provide leadership, guidance and counselling to Administration staff

Accounting degree from a reputable university and at least 3 yrs work experience at senior level with a reputable institution OR Accounting Diploma from a reputable college and at least 5 yrs work experience with a reputable institution, Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, Proven knowledge of accounting standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations, Ability to navigate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports, Sound independent judgement, high attention to detail, and excellent analytical, communication and team player skills, Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and multi tasks, Ability to work with minimum supervision, High level of personal integrity, honesty and confidentiality, Aged between 25 and 45 yrs

Cary out assignments as assigned from time to time, Prepare working papers to the firm’s standards, Assist in auditing the various sections of the income statement and the balance sheet, Ensure that basic Deloitte techniques are applied accurately and consistently in all areas of work delegated, Perform various other duties as assignment by partners and management from time to time 

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy OR Professional level ACCA students – where at least 3 professional (P) papers have already been passed, Ability to communicate effectively with both the audit team and client staff, Ability to use various Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Power Point among others, Organisational, analytical skills, Numeracy skills, Aged between 20 and 30 yrs
