Quality Monitoring Services Officer – 1 post
Reporting to : Quality Monitoring Services Manager
Coordinates activities and conducts inspection, sampling and analysis of conformance assessment results under Import quality monitoring Scheme resulting in issuance of Import Conformance Certificates to complying products and reports to non-complying products, Manages records, conducts industrial quality audits, prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports, work plans and budgets and performs any other duties assigned from time to time
Receiving and distributing laboratory results for processing, Carrying out inspections and sampling from import and expert consignments, Drafting and checking import reports and certificates to meet set standards, Monitoring progress of dispatch of processed results, Ensuring urgent processing of rejection reports and proper enforcement of rejection orders, Processing annual Import Certificates for clients, Preparing and updating list of Annual Import Certificates, Managing records for the work centre including updating of electronic databases, Compiling weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports, Providing liaison services other MBS depts., importers, consumers and other stakeholders
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelors Degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering with a minimum of 2 yrs of industrial experience in quality related activities, Laboratory experience would be advantageous
