About the Job:
GFA Consulting Group is seeking an MSME Lending and Training Expert (multiple positions). S/he will be responsible for working closely with different MSME finance institutions and their management to improve the efficiency of credit processes and operations.
GFA Consulting Group is seeking an MSME Lending and Training Expert (multiple positions). S/he will be responsible for working closely with different MSME finance institutions and their management to improve the efficiency of credit processes and operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Improve organization's MSME loan portfolio;
- Improve financial outreach including diversification of product range;
- Design and delivery of training programs with specific focus on credit risk management as well as banking and financial management, based on an initial needs assessment.
Qualifications:
- Advanced university Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management or in similar areas;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial institutions, in multiple areas, particularly in credit risk management, administration, and operations;
- Extensive experience in the financial sector;
- Experience in donor funded projects (EU, EIB, KfW, GIZ, etc.);
- Excellent spoken and written English (for Mozambique: fluency in Portuguese is mandatory);
- Previous working experience in southern Africa;
- Proven experience in capacity building/training;
- Experience in MSME lending and portfolio management.
