MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Superintendent: Chemical, as the Technician: Chemical you will provide credible and timeous wet chemical analyses using titration methods and instrumental techniques towards ensuring accuracy and quality of deliveries.
JOB OBJECTIVES:
·Perform chemical and instrumental analyses on final products, raw materials and
ad hoc development samples.
·Execute analytical maintenance and calibration of instruments.
·Monitor control samples and take appropriate corrective action to ensure
compliance with set limits.
·Ensure shipments are certified within scheduled time.
·Issue certificates and non-compliance reports.
·Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices
·Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at
the discretion the Supervisor
OUTPUTS:
·Accurate analyses within Certified Referenced Material (CRM) limits
·Timeous operations within Standard Analytical Methods (SAM)
·Good relationships with both internal and external clients
·Timely certification of shipments and reporting of ad hoc samples
·Safe working practices
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
·N6: Analytical Chemistry
·BSc: Chemistry would be an advantage
·2 years’ experience in a Lab environment
·1 year experience in Wet Chemical environment would be an advantage
·Drivers Licence:EB (Code 08)
