Teacher at Wusc Malawi

World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in collaboration with Jesuit Refugee service ( JRS) is looking for a temporary test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) teacher to assist young refugees prepare for their University Education in Canada. The person will work under WUSC and is expected to hold classes three times a week in Dzaleka Refugees camp

Job description
• Planning, preparing and delivering English lessons
• Assessing students needs and progress
• Keeping records
• Attending team meetings
• Preparing monthly reports for WUSC

Requirements
• Certificate in Education (essential) or post graduate diploma in Education or Bachelors of Education Humanities from a recognized University.
• Experience in TEOFL
• A strong interest in multicultural issues
• Approachable and tolerant
• Good negotiating skills
• Motivated and articulate
• Strong advocacy skills

This is a part time job and those staying within Lilongwe will have an added advantage
