QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicable tertiary qualification in Geology, Survey, Rock Engineering, Draughting, Mining, and/or an Advanced MRM Program. (BSc. Or BTech)
- Mine Surveyors Cert of Competency (beneficial, this is not a pre-requisite)
- Must be in possession of, or able to obtain a valid certificate of fitness.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
· +/- 3-5 years exp. in Geology, Survey, Evaluation, Draughting, Rock Engineering or Mining.
· +/- 3-5 years practical exp. in Surface and/or underground tabular ore body mining
· Advance computer literacy.
· Good knowledge of operational MRM system must have 3 years practical experience of Microstation, CadsMine or DataMine.
· Ability to use mathematical concepts and statistical information that will enable the critically examine, integrate and interpret statistical information.
· Design and Schedule: Short-, medium- and long-term plan.
· Preparing and collating information to determine the risks associated with the short and medium term plans
· Import updated block models and mined out strings; Import and update contours files.
· Planning Administration: Extract data from SQL to Excel pivot tables and compile reports.
· Analysing production results against planned schedules and recommend corrective action
· Liaise with other departments (i.e. Metallurgy, Engineering, HR, & Finance)
· Equipping planning administration and recording.
· Tracking of crew movements according to plan.
· Investigation of gold opportunities and keeping record thereof.
· General Administration ie printing monthly plans, etc.
· Attending of Pre-planning meetings.
· Will report directly to the Survey and Planning Manager.
· Develop and maintain good public relations with all stakeholders.
· Embrace the Project ONE principles.
· Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and to create a safe working environment through the implementation of procedures.
