EXPERTISE REQUIRED
(1) Senior Expert, i.e. Technical Advisor to the NAO, Category I, for 220 days of service.
- Education
• A Master’s degree in a discipline related to either: International Development, Economics, Project Management, Education, Agriculture, or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
• A Ph.D. in one of the foregoing disciplines will be an advantage.
- Experience
• 12 years of experience of working in Project Management and/or ODA Programming and/or Planning and Administration is required.
• 4 years of experience as Team Leader / Manager of an EDF Programme is required, eight years or more of such experience will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated in depth and up-to-date knowledge of EDF procurement, contracting and payments procedures and processes is required.
• Experience of working with Budget Support Programmes will be an advantage.
• 4 years of experience of working in sub-Saharan Africa will be an advantage.
• Experience working in / supporting the NAO Office in an ACP country will be an advantage.
- Language skills
• Be able to communicate effectivel y (spoken and written) in English.
