Pediatric Technical Advisor
Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, the Paediatric Technical Advisor will provide technical port in the planning and implementation of the Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIDS Treatment (ACT) program within MSH supported facilities I collaboration with district health management teams, S/he will provide technical support for the Paediatric HIV Care and Treatment programming as well as building capacity of MOH staff at the facility level, Support the implementation of the Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIV AIDS Treatment (ACT) program within the district, Provide ongoing and sustained technical support to facilities in the implementation of paediatric and adolescent HIV services, Supervise all paediatric HIV/AIDS initiatives including early infant diagnosis and paediatric ART, , Participate in district supervision and mentorship review meetings, work with data clerks and facility staff, help track progress, identify of materials related to HIV/AIDS
care and treatment, including clinical guidelines, protocols, algorithms and other necessary tools, Submit periodic reports and feedback to counterparts and donor on assistance provided, challenges/solutions and plans/next steps
Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Bachelor of Medicine or its equivalent, Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics or Paediatric experience will be an added advantage, 5 yrs experience in implementation of MTCT and Paediatric HIV Care and Treatment programs, Fluency in English required (written and oral), Ability to travel to health facilities in the MSH-assigned districts
Demonstrated clinic competence and experience in paediatrics HIV management Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with other sin a multi-cultural team environment, Strong skills in diplomacy and relationship building with a variety of partners and stakeholders, Excellence communication and writing skills, Excellent organisational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities with attention to detail, strong project management skills, ability to travel domestically for service delivery monitoring up to 50% of the time
