The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
POST NUMBER. 1590: LECTURER IN THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The applicants must have a Masters degree in Language and Linguistics. S/he should be able to teach Translation and Interpretation, Specialised Communication and Studies Skills, and Editing and Publishing. A PhD in Language and Linguistics, and evidence of Publication in refereed journals will be an added advantage. At least two years of experience in teaching at tertiary level will be essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching at undergraduate level (and postgraduate for those with a PhD);
- Participating in the research programmes of the Department/Faculty;
- Performing other duties required by the Department.
- The incumbent will be expected to carry out teaching and conduct research in his/her area of expertise, and perform any other duties as may be required by the Department.
CONTRACT DURATION:
The appointment for this post shall be a two year contract
