PSI seeks dynamic, entrepreneurial candidates with an interest in private sector approaches to development for the position of Marketing Director. This full-time position is based in Maputo, Mozambique and reports to the Country Representative.
PSI Mozambique is a very complex operation, it is integrated across health areas and projects and a vast geography and it is powered by cutting edge marketing and innovation to improve the health of all Mozambicans.
PSI/Mozambique is present in 5 different product and services categories (sexual health / condoms, water treatment, infant food, malaria protection and family planning), through 8 different brands, and manages complex distribution systems, based on the local context and market strengths, through vouchers systems, multilevel marketing networks and social franchising.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:- To develop the marketing strategies, including communication and sales, for all PSI Mozambique products and services
- To support the delivery of aggressive growth targets across PSI Mozambique products, services and programs;
- To catalyze the generation of ideas and ensure the implementation of actions plans for all brands/services
- To lead existing innovative projects, support some and develop new ones
- To manage the marketing department team and its sales & distribution, community interventions, PR, market research and brand management units
- Function within a fully integrated structure by ensuring continuous coordination with relevant project, technical and operational teams;
- Identify market needs and new opportunities
- Innovation: you will have to inspire breakthrough ideas marketing ideas and execute them in the market.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- Masters Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in Marketing
- Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience
- Experience in international markets
- Preference for experience in bottom of the pyramid market
- Ability to take initiative, plan and monitor activities flow and outcomes
- Capacity to work under pressure in achieving set up goals/objectives
- Aptitude to encourage and motivate staff
- Excellent coordination abilities
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Excellent computer skills
- Willingness and ability to travel (locally and internationally)
- Willingness and ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn new methodologies and get exposed to a diversity of challenges
- Willingness and ability to work on a diversity of topics such as Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV / Aids, Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition.
