RTI International is requesting expressions of interest from operations and support staff for the USAID-funded Malawi Early Grade Reading Improvement Activity (MERIT), the fie yr project will work closely with and support the Gov of Malawi’s scale up and implementation of a national education model that improves early grade reading instruction and educational outcomes, Position is based in Lilongwe but will be expected to travel to districts across Malawi, Successful candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills including fluency in English
 
Accountant - RTI International
 
As a member of the MERIT finance team, the Accountant will be responsible for ensuring appropriate systems and procedures (payroll, cash management, vendor payments, budgeting and other related expenditures) are followed to properly disburse, account, budget and report funds which are cost effective, timely, have proper internal controls and comply with the terms of the agreement
 
Bachelors Degree and 3 yrs of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, Professional Accounting training or a Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant, preferred, experience with QuickBooks and USAID financed program is essential
