MACRO - Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organisation is  anon governmental organisation that provides quality HIV prevention and treatment services to individuals, families and communities trough static and outreach outlets in order to reduce HIV transmission and the impact of HIV and AIDS in Malawi
 
MACRO under a corporate agreement award from Centers for Disease control 9CDC) and support from the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), trough Cheik Anta Dop University (CADU) is supporting the Ministry of Health (MOH) in its implementation of HIV Raid Testing Quality Improvement Initiative (RTQII), This initiative is aimed at strengthening the delivery, coordination and monitoring of quality HIV Testing in Malawi currently application are invite from suitably qualified individuals to fill the vacant posit of HIV Health information Systems Officer tenable at MACRO Secretariat in Lilongwe
 
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the HIV Health Information Systems Officer will be tasked with providing analytical expertise and support to the RTQII team
 
Work with MOH and partners to strengthen the user, community and facilitate user interaction for technical assistance, tracking issues and collecting feedback for modifications and improvements, develop a strategy for sustainability of the program including data management, Promote multi-disciplinary training on use of HIS data to key staff on MOH facilities, Develop and disseminate health information system framework platform to MOH
 
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in public Health, Epidemiology or Statistics essential, A minimum of 2 yrs experience in monitoring an devaluation of programs and data management, Knowledge of HIV programs, particularly HIV testing and Counselling is desirable, Competence in use of statistical software (MS Access, SPSs, Stata and MS Office), Analytical skills, Ability to merge and manipulate data sets, Experience with healthcare, clinical and administrative data
