Administrative Assistant – Grade Range S3 to S1 – 1 post – Northern Region Water Board
Northern Region Water Board is a parastatal organisation that was established in 1996 under the Water Works Act (No.17) of 1995, The core mandate of eh Board is to supply potable water to urban, peri-urban and upcoming marketing centres in the Northern Region of Malawi
Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, the administrative assistant will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Department and Managers in the Technical services Department
Arranging meetings and taking minutes during meetings, Ensuring proper filing and retrieval of documents in liaison with the Registry Supervisor, Maintaining a diary for the Director of Technical Services, Preparing meeting briefs and reminders for the Director of Technical Services, Typing and composing letters and other correspondence for the director and other managers, Making travel arrangements for the director and other Managers in the department of Technical Services, Attending to visitors, mail and telephone calls for the director, Helping the director in compiling various reports
Applicants should have Advanced Secretariat Certificates for Diploma in Secretarial Studies plus at least 3 yrs experience in a similar position in a large and busy organisation
