Association Business Manager – NASFAM – National Smallholder Farmers Association of Malawi - for Ntcheu Innovation and Productivity Centre
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Association Business Manager will serve in a business management and operations capacity, working directly with Association Leaders to manage crop production and commercial programmes to maintain business and financial systems and to supervise staff as necessary for the efficient running and sustainability of the Association
Search marketing opportunities and link farmers to identified markets, Recommend new services to Association members and improve Association financial viability, Oversee the implementation and monitoring of all programme activities at the Association, Seek and pursue business opportunities and implement commercial activities that can assist in improving services, develop and maintain strong communication network system between Association Office, action groups and clubs, as well as other stakeholders, Take responsibility for the management and achievement of the strategic plans, Produce strategic business plans for the Association in liaison with the Association Board
Minimum Education Qualification of a Degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration or related field
At least 3 yrs in a similar role
Proven experience in managing Association or cooperatives, Knowledge and experience of crop production and marketing, Strong communication skills, Good people management skills and adaptable, Good analytical and report writing skills, A strong understanding of the agribusiness sector
