District Programme Coordinator – 3 posts – Balaka, Mangochi and Machinga – GOAL Malawi
Supervisor: Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP)
Will be responsible for providing leadership and management to the PaMawa district team, this includes direct program team management, supervision, coaching, and professional development
Directly supervise and provide support to the PaMAwa district teams, Prepare performance plans with direct reports and contribute to their learning and professional development throughout the year, and Ensure timely reporting from all district players in the PaMawa programme
Program Quality - Assist the DCOp, through key project team members and stakeholders, to ensure objectives and results of the PaMawa programme are fully accomplished and meet expected quality standards, Collaborate and liaise effectively with the wider programme teams to develop synergy and a high level programme integration, Participate in district level fora for CCA, Health and Nutrition, Forestry, agricultural development and food security and maintain good working relations with relevant Govt dept, Assist project team members to develop, monitor, and update detailed implementation plans that are realistic an d in line with project strategies, Closely monitor progress towards achieving of objectives, proactively identifying potential shortfalls and challenges and proposing corrective actions, Ensure integration of the project with other district service providers
Management and Administration – Ensure the consistent provision of administrative and financial support to PaMawa district teams, Manage and monitor efficient and effective use project resources, including financial and material (assets and equipment) resources, Ensure accurate and timely reporting, Approve project expenditures, propose budget adjustments and prepare cost modification requests to donors, Ensure compliance with all GOAL administrative and operational procedures and policies, as well as applicable to USAID regulations, Ensure harmonious cooperation between program teams and other GOAL depts., including finance, procurement, HR, and IT, promoting joint planning, evaluation and mutual support
Monitoring and Evaluation – Compile and submit narrative reports and success stories as per donor requirements, Respond to adhoc data calls, information requests and urgent reporting requirements, as required by donors or senior managers, Develop informational and publicity materials to inform stakeholders of project progress to district stakeholders
A Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Health Management, Rural development, Natural Resources Management, 3 yrs experience in implementing USAID funded projects, Comprehensive understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) issues affecting the youth in Malawi, Demonstrated experience in working with the youths in SRH and/or CCA, 3 yrs experience of managing a team of experts, Experience in working with Govt Depts at district level
