Collections Manager- AMG Global Chartered Accountants
This is a senior position requiring a mature + proem solver + Self motivated individual with strong numeracy and communication skills, and strong analytical competencies, Holder of a Bachelors Degree in Business Statistics, Marketing, Commerce or Economics + Masters degree preferred ++ relevant professional qualifications in banking, finance or marketing provide an added advantage + at least 5 yrs banking experience an date last 4 yrs at management or supervisory level
Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account, Coordinates with others, including personnel in company branches and credit card companies to exchange information and update control, Submits delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection, Complies and analyses statistical data on fraudulent use of credit cards to develop procedures designed to deter or prevent future abuses, Assists management in formulation of credit policies, Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures, Assigns responsibility for investigation of fraud cases and possible legal action and collection for worthless checks and delinquent bills +Establishes and updates customs credit activities, establishes credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment, Assigns staff responsibility for investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings and recommending rejection or approval of applications
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer
Directs and coordinates activities of staff engaged in conducting credit investigations and collecting delinquent accounts of customers by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate supervisors
