Project Accountant, Ref No MWEITI/SEC/2016/04/P3, 12months duration, subject to renewal
Responsible for budget management and planning, developing MWEITI’s office financial procedures including systems for the project management and control, This is a new project position in a new project reporting direct to the National Coordinator of the secretariat, Being a donor supported project and transparency initiative, the position requires a good understanding of similar donor related projects and a self disciplined person
Budget planning, management and putting financial controls I place, Financial management and internal control, Cash and wage management, Periodic internal and external reporting, Improvements of financial procedures, Any other duties that maybe assigned
Minimum Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from Govt recognised University or institutions, Additional ACCA qualifications are desirable, Good Microsoft Excel Presentation and Computer skills, Ability to work flexibility and openly with a wide range of team office members and the MSG, Project management experience , Demonstrated writing and analytical skills, Team worker with minimum supervision, Knowledge of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), Minimum 5 yrs experience in a similar related capacity
