I-TECH – International Training and Education Center for Health has been priviledged to provide technical support to the Govt of Malawi ministry of Health (MOH), since 2008, through seconded senior technical assistants, Programmes officers and public Health Fellows, The ITEC was established in 2002 at the University of Washington in Seattle, ITEC H is funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Global HIV and TB (CDC-DGHT) under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIS Relief (PEPFAR)
Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow – Ministry of Health 2 yr Fellowship Programme – ITECH
Will be recruited and placed under the umbrella of the Department of HIV/AIDS to participate in routine program monitoring, reporting and implementation research for the national biomedical HIV programs, S/he will be mentored by the HIV and AIDS M&E Technical Assistant (TA) and supervised by the Director of the dept
Fellowship reports will be reviewed by the DHA Director and the I-TECH Deputy Country Director
At least a Bachelors Degree in Biostatistics, Demography, Social Science, Economics or a Health related field, At least 2 yrs of relevant work experience in M&E or research on health programs
Knowledge and practical experience with M&E systems for HIV services, Sound data analysis and basic statistical skills, Strong computer skills in MS Office and statistical packages, (STATA, SPSS, SAs) Epi info), Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst working on tight schedule, Experience in working in a multi cultural and multi disciplinary environment
