Project Officer
DanChurchAid (DCA) is one of the largest NGOs in Denmark and has been present in Malawi since 1980 supporting development programmes in a number of different areas, but presently focusing mainly in 2: Active Citizenship and Right to Food, DCA is committed to work in partnership with local partner organisations in a non-political and non-religious manner, DanChurchAid is currently looking for motivated persons to fill the following vacant positions for the Tilitonse funded project: citizen Action in Local Government Accountability (CALGA)
Project Officer- 15 months duration
Achieve the Governance project objectives through efficient management of the project under the Active Citizenship programme, Implement the DCA project, support the technical and administrative needs of implementing partners, and monitor and report on all aspects of Governance project, Identify capacity constraints of partners and communities for effective implementation of the project activities and propose/initiate relevant capacity building interventions regularly, Identify relevant coordination structures to share, gather relevant information, align interventions to bring enhance synergy with govt and other stakeholders similar initiatives, Contributes to the planning and implementation of DCA Active Citizenship strategy in his area of expertise in collaboration with the Programme Officer and Head of Programme
University degree in Social scientism or equivalent (preferably Masters Degree, Experience in Governance projects management (min5 yrs), Relevant experience with International NGOs on international institutions (min 3 yrs), Knowledge of international donors requirements
