Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, Comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation, Malawi

Proposal Objective:
Social Impact is preparing a proposal for an upcoming four-year USAID funded project in Malawi. The anticipated project will be a multi-level M&E activity that will build capacity for monitoring and evaluation of early grade reading at national, school, and community levels.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to support the DCOP in the data analysis, data collection, and monitoring, evaluation of the program. This will be a full-time, long-term position based in Malawi.

Responsibilities:
· Design M&E processes, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, increasingly focused on results of activities.
· Provide technical expertise and context on education in Malawi to the activity.
· Design efficient and high quality data collection tools.
· Lead data collection and analysis efforts.
· Participate in the design, quality, development and completion of all assessments, analytical reports, and evaluations.
· Help develop program recommendations based on data.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight years of experience providing technical and managerial oversight and direction on international development project.
- Master's degree in economics, statistics, international development or related field required.
- At least five years of experience with both quantitative and qualitative statistical processing and analysis packages.
- Experience designing, monitoring, and evaluating programs in the education sector required.
- Experience evaluating early grade reading highly preferred.
- English fluency required.
