Civil Engineer (Chief Resident Engineer) - Water Treatment Plant Construction Supervision

About the Project:

A new Water Treatment Plant will be constructed and equipped for Phase 1 (60,000 m3/d) flow and prepared
for the extension of Phase 2 capacity of 120,000 m3/d. Other elements of the project include the supervision of the construction of a Raw Water Intake, Pumping stations, Intermediate Control Tank and Centralized Technical Management System (SCADA). The project is for approximately 24 months and is located near Sabié in Mozambique. Anticipated start date is September 2014.

Candidate Profile:

Applicants should have a University Engineering degree with Chartered Engineer status (C.Eng).

Applicants must have:

at least twenty (20) years sound experience in the supervision of construction and contract management based on FIDIC Conditions and other international procedures
at least five of which as recent Chief/Senior Resident Engineer of similar works (i.e. WTP/WWTP)
at least ten (10) years experience with supervision of large Water Treatment Plants, Waste Water Treatment Plants and Pump Stations
at least five (5) years recent experience on the same size of works (60,000 to 120,000 m3/d) in developing countries outside his/her home country.
at least experience with two (2) contracts for large water treatment works, each valued at over 30 million USD.
The following would be an advantage:

Experience in the Region, but in particular in Mozambique
Portuguese
This is a full time position for 24 months
