LECTURER IN HYDROLOGY & WATER RESOURCES (Contract Position- 2 years)

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach Undergraduate and Graduate courses in Hydrology and Water Resources and any other related subjects in physical environment; (ii) supervise both Undergraduate and Graduate student research projects; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (vi) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should: (i) have at least a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline (with a bias towards hydrology and water resources); (ii) a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or a cognate discipline with at least a second class, first division (2.1) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a relevant PhD, teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages; (v) evidence of hydrological and/ or climate modeling will also be an added advantage; (vi) the CV should provide a detailed list of courses (if any) ever taught as well as research and publications where applicable.
