Nurse Midwife Technician – Nancholi Youth Organisation – NAYO) – Blantyre 

Nancholi Youth Organisation is a Community Based Organisation established in April 2004.  NAYO is currently registered with the Malawi Network of AIDS Services Organisation (MANASO) and the District Aids’ Coordinating Committee (DACC).

Nancholi Youth organisation embraces youth from across the social, economic and political spectrum and is involved in fighting against all social issues that lead to the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Nurse and Midwife Technician (Registered with Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi)
Grade: Technician Officer (K), Reports to: NAYO’s Executive Director 

Establishing working relationships with community leaders and members, conducting community diagnosis, assisting the community to identify their health needs while utilising all available community resources, Supervising, evaluation and monitoring primary health care, Identifying and carrying out home visits on patients/clients referred from the health facility and any other, Providing and supervising Home based Care activities, Provides adolescent friendly health services, Providing ART services (Treatment, Counselling and follow up to the clients, Providing Treatment and Palliation to clients on ART/ Treatment ill, Compiling and submitting reports at regular intervals to the relevant superiors, Collaborating well with other NGO and other sectors, Making recommendations for improvement of health services in her/his working areas, Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time 

Applications must possess a Diploma in nursing and midwife from a recognised institution with at least 4 yrs relevant experience in a busy institution and be Registered with nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi 

Applicants must be aged between 35 – 50 yrs 

The successful candidate shall be offered a performance related contract renewable after one yr
