Branch Assistant - MALAWI

Our client is dedicated to the responsible distribution of chemicals to the manufacturing industry and retail commerce.
It has a wide portfolio of specialty products and commodity products for a wide range of applications. In each country they have established Operating Companies (OpCo’s) which are lead by a country manager in the position of Managing Director.

Report to Branch Manager.

Responsibilities:
Sales by Customer:
1. Build & maintain customer relations while realizing sales.
2. Be responsive to the market by quoting prices with specifications and MSDS within 2 hours after receiving the RFQ.
3. Be pro-active in seeking sales to new customers (=activation)
4. Be pro-active in seeking sales at customers who have not yet re-ordered (=retention)
5. Be pro-active by proposing complementary products to customer according to their Chemical Profile
6. Realize your individual Budget in both volume, GM and new business.
7. Contribute Chemical Profiles on weekly basis to ensure structural and detailed TIC generation.
Sales by Product:
1. Increase the customer base for each of the products (product density)
2. Collect & inspect empty IBC’s, drums and cans
Administration:
1. Issue invoices immediately and correctly, including MSDS;
2. Manage the Petty Cash, collect cash sales and deposit cash at the bank
3. Execute Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting timely and correctly.
4. Execute the Dunning Cycle (=collections) pro-actively and follow through on Debt Collection actions.
Operations:
1. Always work within the framework of Responsible Distribution and Product Stewardship.
2. Safely receive, pack, store and dispatch products.
3. Maintain a clean and save site, by following HSQ&E rules.
4. Keep the Log of customer complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions
