Branch Manager

Our client is dedicated to the responsible distribution of chemicals to the manufacturing industry and retail commerce.
It has a wide portfolio of specialty products and commodity products for a wide range of applications. In each country they have established Operating Companies (OpCo’s) which are lead by a country manager in the position of Managing Director.

All employees of the Branch office report directly to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities:
a. General Management:
1. Set individual targets for each Branch employee and conduct the Annual Performance Reviews of direct reports (max 7), so as that each employee knows and realizes his/her specific targets;
2. Recommend hiring / training / firing of Branch employees to Managing Director.
3. Manage Branch Profitability by maximizing GM, minimizing COGS and optimizing WoCa by reducing ART and increasing Rotation;
4. Submit and realize annual Budgets and Quarterly forecasts.
Sales by Customer:
1. Keep Branch organisation focused on building & maintaining customer relations while realizing sales.
2. Focus on customer retention, new customer creation and collections.
3. Ensure close regular contact with customers through personal visits and phone calls.
4. Realize the Branch Budget in both volume, GM and new business.
5. Contribute Chemical Profiles on weekly basis to ensure structural and detailed TIC generation.
Sales by Product:
1. Realize Stock Rotation, GM, and product density targets.
2. Support purchaser of OpCo with competitive information.
Administration:
1. Ensure that Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting requirements are executed efficiently (productivity) and that they are timely and correctly met.
2. Execute the Dunning Cycle (=collections) pro-actively and follow through on Debt Collection actions.
Operations:
1. Enforce all employees to work within the framework of Responsible Distribution and Product Stewardship.
2. Specifically the receiving, de-bulking, mixing & blending, packing, storing and dispatching of products safely & swiftly.
3. Maintain a clean and save site, with HSQ&E rules visible and clearly documented and followed.
4. Have a proper log of customer complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions.
