Plan Malawi are currently recruiting a Chief of Party to lead, manage and implement the Global Sanitation Fund “Accelerating progress towards Sanitation & Hygiene through community Lead Total Sanitation and Sanitation Marketing” project.
The Chief of Party's primary responsibilities include providing overall leadership, management, and general technical direction of the programme, and ensuring programme performance, achievement of programme requirements and adherence to donor regulations. As Chief of Party you will use your management and coaching skills to lead and develop a high performing team to deliver on project activities and results.
You will have a thorough, current, understanding of global developments on WASH and significant experience leading, managing and implementing large development projects in community based WASH or broader community development programmes. Experience interacting with government donor agencies within the context of a large grant is required. You must be fluent in English and knowledge of Chichewa will be an asset.
Location:The position will be based at the Country Office in Malawi, with frequent travel to the six districts implementing the project and other field offices and communities as necessary.
End date:This project is ongoing with an end date of December 2015.
