Illovo Sugar (Malawi) Limited Nchalo operatiosn situated 80 km South of Blantyre invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position in the Services Department
MSCE, A completed and recognised indentured apprenticeship in Mechanics, Grade 1 National Trade Test in MVM, Advanced Craft Certificate in MVM, At least 2 yrs working experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic
Carrying out fault finding on heavy plant machines and deciding appropriate course of action, Diagnosing faults and repairing the diagnosed faults in the heavy plant machine engine, Overhauling various heavy plant machine engines, Checking, servicing and repairing the pre-load system of some heavy plant machines and carrying out bench engine testing, Training subordinates and apprentices, Carrying out plant safety checks and ensuring that work is carried out in a safe manner, Working in accordance to the company’s quality standards, Completing necessary administration work – e.g. Works Orders
