The Merry Year International is NGO registered in Malawi which is in charge of millennium Villages Project (MVP) introduced by Millennium Promise (UN) and the Columbia University, Merry Year International is a major donor of the MVP, Gumulira Cluster in Mchinji district an dork for the social development in various sectors at the rural community level, Applications are invited for the position of a Nurse or Clinician at Mtanga Health Post in the health sector
The Mtanga Health Post is a medical facility, operated by MYI and registered to the Ministry of Health of Malawi to improve the basic health services within and outside Gumulira Cluster, It is an open service to any patient living especially within the cluster and provides general treatments and medicines for free at most
A nurse of clinician carries the overall responsibility for the effective treatments and prescriptions to the most of coming patients, It is required to take care of the emergency cases as well as general cases during working hours
Conducting treatment for outpatients and writing a register of every case, Having full knowledge of medicine and performing prescription, Providing an antenatal care service for a pregnant woman, Dealing with emergency patients and making a decision for a referral by standby for 24 hours, Filing a weekly a report and monthly report from MYI designed to keep the data, Writing monthly report for the Health Centre which is the medical facility of right upper level run by Mchinji District govt, Managing the services as well as other workers of Mtanga Health Post with full responsibility, Monitoring and reporting any kind of relevant problem of Mtanga Health Post, Being willing to assist villagers with a lot of devotion and passion, Having a good communication skill and relationships with MYI through the manager and staff
Minimum of a diplomate of a Nurse or Clinician at university or at least college level, candidates with a Bachelors Degree (4 yrs study) or additional training in Nursing or related fields will have a distinct advantage, At least 3 yrs of experience at a private hospital, a govt health centre, NGO a medical facility or any related organisations, An applicant under pension is highly recommended to apply for this post
Will be offered 1 yr negotiable and performance based contract with an attractive package that includes salary, house and other benefits depending on qualification and experience
