Forestry Technician
Guide and train smallholder farmers on all aspects of Forestry, Ensure all Forestry activities are adequately supervised and performed according to company standards and incompliance with the country’s Forestry Policy and Act, Prepare work plans and ensure that daily output targets are achieved, Ensure all activities follow the approved operational plans, Conduct tree and bamboo Audits as well as collect data for monitoring and evaluating progress of smallholder forestry programs, Report on progress of activities on weekly and monthly basis
A Diploma in Forestry or Environmental Sciences from a recognised University and at least 2 yrs experience with smallholder farmers, Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid driver’s licence, Computer literate especially conversant with Microsoft Office, Self starter with high integrity and strong interpersonal and team building skills, Written and oral communication skills, Must be able to meet strict deadlines and be able to produce required results with minimal supervision, Aged between 25 to 40 yrs
