Will be responsible and accountable for
Assist in the management of all aspects of a new IOM project on labour migration in Malawi including, Promote coordination and coherence of all the components of national and regional labour migration projects as well as relations with all govt officials, project partners and associates, Facilitate public private partnerships in the area of labour migration, Draft implementation plans for all project activities concerning labor migration and related fields to be undertaken in Malawi, Support and assist external experts and IOM staff working on labour migration projects in Malawi, particularly the regional mining assessment and guidelines for bilateral labour agreements, Draft project progress updates for international actors on a regular basis in order to explore possibilities for complementary with programming from other parties, Collaborate with administration and Finance in Pretoria to track expenditures and ensure that they fall within the confines
of related budget lines
Raise awareness of the project among development partners, civil society
University Degree preferably in Political or Social Science, International Relations or Law or an equivalent combination of training and experience, 6 yrs of experience working with an international organisation, Un agency or NGO, Work experience liaising with govt authorities, other national/international institutions and NGOs, Excellent govt liaison as well as project management and coordination skills, Excellent communication and negotiations kills, Good proposal and report writing skills, Personal commitment, drive for result, efficiency , flexibility, respect for diversity, Strong strategic and creative thinking, Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team with colleagues form varied cultures and professional backgrounds,
