Program Officer – Maternal Health – UNC Project – Lilongwe
To work for the Safe Motherhood Initiative (SMI) Program
Will be expected to report the Project Director/QI Le din ensuring timely implementation of planned activities, compilation and submission of reports
Monitor collaboration with and networking with other stakeholders including MoH during project implementation including challenges and benefits of such relationships, Support all aspects of the project, Assist in budget monitoring versus project implementation/progress, Organise quarterly partners coordination meetings, Organise biannual project planning and progress monitoring meetings including retreats, Support compilation of reports from partners and project component focal persons, Support activities of QI teams at project health facilities including compilation of QI data, Monitor implementation of MWH and perma-culture activities at project health facilities, Support identification and development of potential future projects, Participate in project related activities as need rises, Participate in project related activities as need arises, Participate in designing and implementing project transition and sustainability plan, Perform any other duties as assigned
Bachelors Degree in Health Related Field or Social Science, A Masters degree in public Health will be an added advantage, Experience in implementation of health development Project or maternal neonatal and child health related programs, Good organisation and writing skills, Experience in project management including report writing, Good negotiation and networking skills, Ability to take initiative, be innovative, adaptable and flexible, A sense of integrity a, professionalism and responsibility
