Technical Assistants for Central East and Central West Zonal Health Offices in Lilongwe
The UK Department for International Development (DFID) has awarded Options Consultancy Services a 4 yrs contract to provide Technical Assistance to support successful implementation of Malawi’s Health Sector Strategic Plan (HSSP), which is known as Malawi Health Sector Programme Technical Assistance (MHSP-TA)
MHSP-TA is recruiting 2 Technical Assistants to be stationed in 2 Lilongwe MOH Zonal Health Offices to provide technical assistance in the areas of planning, morning an devaluation, partner coordination and democratic accountability
Planning, - Support the Zonal Health Office team to build the capacity of focal district health teams in the P) guidance use of updated District implementation plan (DIP) guidance
Monitoring and Evaluation – Support the Zonal Health Office team to build the capacity of current facility staff in the Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), Support the Zonal Health Office team to build the capacity of District Health Management Teams (DHMTs), Councillors and CHAM in data interpretation and use, Support the Zonal Health Office team in the reporting function
Partner coordination – Support the Zonal Health Office team to build the capacity of districts for partner coordination
Democratic accountability – Support the Zonal Health Office Team in providing capacity development in public health for elected District Councillors
Masters Degree in Project planning and Monitoring or related development field, minimum of 3 yrs relevant experience such as work with Govt of Malawi or development partners or international NGOs, Strong reporting and analytical skills, Advanced user of word, databases and spreadsheets, Strong networking skills, Excellent communication skills
