The U.S. Embassy in Maputo is seeking one individual for the position of Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Office. This extends the V.A. No. 013/14, dated March 7, 2014. Candidates who have already submitted applications need not to re-apply.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Officer, and guidance from the Human Resources Specialist, the incumbent provides a wide range of HR services.  Portfolio includes but it is not limited to: employee evaluation reports, recruitment, accreditation, orientation, the Foreign Service Exam, and other HR services.  The incumbent handles a portfolio of mission sections/agencies to handle their HR needs for LES and USDH. A Top Secret Security Clearance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Two years of university level studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
2. Three years of experience in human resources, business administration, or employment within an international organization or diplomatic mission is required. One year of supervisory experience is required.
3. Level IV (fluency) in reading, written and speaking English required.
4. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide variety of clients is required. Strong organizational skills are required to manage a number of competing tasks.
5. Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail software are required. Ability to identify problems, meet deadlines and work independently is required.
